Product Description
Flak is the dirt jump helmet of choice for riders like Paul Basagoitia, Lance McDermott, John Cowan, and Jamie Goldman. (We'd like to think they ride it because of its high-impact ABS shell, EPS liner, and comfortable padding but the reality is they just like its minimal styling and sick graphics.) • Check your adjustments every time you wear your helmet
  • Inspect your helmet regularly for signs of wear or damage
  • Wear a helmet designed for your activity

About Giro
Working late nights in his garage, designer/bike racer Jim Gentes created the first lightweight adult cycling helmet in 1985. Friends at NASA helped tune the final helmet shape and vent placement, and the result was the Giro Prolight, a helmet that was better looking than traditional designs while offering a superior fit and still met the industry's toughest safety standards. Plus, it was half the weight of traditional helmets. Since then, Giro has advanced its helmets, many of which have set the standards for styling, function, and innovation for progressive, performance-oriented riders on dirt, pavement, and snow. Giro helmets are worn by millions of riders, cyclists, skiers, and snowboarders around the world. Young-bloods and old-timers; hard-cores, heshers, and hipsters; rookies, experts, and a few regular Joes too--in fact, pretty much anyone that appreciates superior fit and function, cutting edge styling, and the very best ideas you get in a helmet.

5 out of 5 stars Great helmet   July 4, 2010
Fred Schatz
I use this helmet as my daily ride helmet to go to work. I haven't had any issues riding in 85+ degree days, as the airflow is adequate, although it isn't quite as good as some other helmets I have worn. The helmet ships with a variety of pads you can use to adjust the size, and the xlarge fit perfectly after adjustment, which I was concerned about as my head size was in between a large and extra large. The best feature has to be the excellent head protection you get with this helmet. The entire side and back of your head is covered so you can be confident you'll be protected in any kind of accident.

4 out of 5 stars Solid helmet   September 12, 2009

This is a great helmet. It looks sharp, feels solid and hopefully, will protect my noggin in case of a severe accident. I'll keep you posted.

I like this helmet a lot better than the adult sized one I bought at WallyWorld. The fit is very comfortable and the kids dig the color and graphics. I'm a cool dad now.

4 out of 5 stars awesome helmet! bonus artwork!   August 2, 2009

really great helmet. comfortable to wear: has adequate ventilation and soft, wide straps. FYI: the straps match the graphics (one is blue, one is yellow). artwork is by Jesse LeDoux / Le Douxville: [....]

5 out of 5 stars Original   March 23, 2009
Grace Rogers (Baumholder,Germany)
I bought this for my husband. He loves skulls, and needed a helmet. He loves this thing as well as all the guys he rides with. It's original and doesn't feel weird since it fits more like a hat.
